The Trust for Public Land just released a report on dog parks in the U.S. The organization analyzed the nation’s 100 largest cities and collected data on parks and off-leash dog areas.
“Dog parks are among the fastest growing amenities in the 100 largest U.S. cities’ park systems—and the top cities may be surprising,” the report said. “We calculate rank based on the number of dog parks for every 100,000 residents in a given city.”
According to the report, Boise has the most dog parks based per capita. The city’s 15 dog parks serve a population of about 225,000 residents.
Also making the top five are Portland, Oreg., Henderson, Nev., Norfolk, Virg., and Las Vegas. How did your city fare? Find out here.
