Everyone knows that yawning is contagious. When one person yawns, often another person will yawn in response – this is a sign of empathy.

But did you know that your dog is tuned in to your yawns too? According to a 2013 study, canines yawn in response to seeing a human yawn and are more likely to yawn in response to their owner as compared to a stranger.
